Art Classes

Art Classes are held on a weekly basis. Private lessons can also be arranged.
About the teacher:
Juliana Uhart studied at Guilford & St. Martin’s School of Art where she worked under internationally renowned artists such as Anthony Caro. She illustrated her first book (on the art of sleep) at the age of 16 and has since shown her work all across Europe including the Royal Academy in London. She is an experienced teacher of art to both children and adults. Juliana has also taught and lectured on Art History in France and the UK, with expert knowledge of the collections in London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and Florence, where she has conducted numerous guided tours.

Art Studio

The studio at Chateau Lavanau takes 10 to 12 people at a time, and is equipped with 5 easels in addition to a large work surface.
Brushes, pencils and pens are available but paper, canvas and paints are not.
Lessons cover drawing, watercolour, oil and acrylics. Classes are held weekly, and group residential visits can also be arranged with a group’s own tutor. Visitors to the chambres d’hotes can use the studio independently or book lessons during their stay.
